Your UGSP insurance cover is a tailor-made insurance solution provided to insured of Ghent University.

You benefit from a very extensive insurance cover :
- Accidental death
- Permanent invalidity due to an accident
- Costs of treatments following an illness / accident (always ask for a medical report). Excluded are pre-existing medical conditions (treatment of an illness/accident that occured prior to the insurance period), medical check-up visits, vaccinations, AIDS, hernia, etc....  
- Costs of urgent dental care (always ask for a medical report)
- Assistance to persons
- Civil liability Private Life
- Luggage (when indicated in your certificate)
- Costs of medical treatment prescribed by a doctor due to illness in case of an epidemic/pandemic. Excluded are the costs resulting from a decision/organized by public authorities during a contamination/pandemic such as and not limited to :
   • Tests to check for the virus,
